Next-Generation Video Streaming

Technology for Dynamic FPS Video Delivery

HLS.ai โ€“ 12 MB

Traditional HLS โ€“ 98 MB

The Problem with Conventional Streaming

Traditional HLS and DASH protocols stream the entire video frame at a fixed frame rate (FPS). Even when only a portion of the screen changes, the whole frame is updated, causing bandwidth waste and latency issues.

Data Usage Over 1 Hour of Streaming

Our Invention: Dynamic FPS Streaming

HLS.ai introduces a breakthrough: dividing each frame into multiple regions (10, 100, or more). Each region is dynamically assigned its own frame rate depending on motion. High-motion areas use higher FPS, static areas use lower FPS. This reduces bandwidth, lowers latency, and maintains quality.

Use Cases

Dynamic FPS streaming benefits platforms where video delivery scale drives massive costs. By reducing redundant data transmission, it enables lower bandwidth bills and better viewer experience.

  • ๐ŸŽฌ Global Streaming Platforms โ€“ Reduce CDN spend significantly
  • ๐Ÿ“ก Broadcasters & OTT Services โ€“ Deliver live events at lower latency
  • ๐ŸŽ“ Online Education Platforms โ€“ Static slides low FPS, teacher high FPS
  • ๐ŸŽฎ Gaming & Esports โ€“ UI low FPS, gameplay high FPS
